In early October, Innovatium had the pleasure of welcoming a senior delegation from Hitachi Industrial Equipment Systems Co., Ltd. to see the company’s first commercial PRISMA pilot in operation at Glacier Energy’s site in Aberdeen.
The visit marked the first time Hitachi’s global team had seen PRISMA in action. The system’s live demonstration provided the perfect backdrop for productive discussions around efficiency, optimisation, and the exciting potential to scale PRISMA worldwide through Hitachi’s extensive networks.
Despite challenging weather conditions caused by Storm Amy, both teams showed great commitment to ensuring the visit went ahead as planned.
Brian Jack, CEO of Innovatium, said:
“It was a privilege to host our partners from Hitachi and to showcase PRISMA in operation for the first time. Their insights and enthusiasm reaffirm the global potential of PRISMA to drive industrial decarbonisation through smarter, more efficient energy systems.”
The visit was made possible thanks to the generous support of the Glacier Energy team, who hosted the event and provided valuable context for how PRISMA is being used on-site.
Innovatium looks forward to continuing to build on this collaboration – combining PRISMA’s innovative energy storage and management technology with Hitachi’s international expertise in technology and supply chains to accelerate industrial decarbonisation at scale.
